The eyes of many football fans across America will be on Sunday’s Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas City Chiefs game. Yet, one wonders what many viewers will be focused on.

From a Bengals perspective, many will focus on their offense. Particularly because of the team’s lackluster performance last week. The Bengals trailed the New England Patriots 10-0 at halftime last week. As the Bengals endured a 16-10 loss to the Patriots. Trailing through the entire course of the game.

Many will wonder how Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase performs. As a contract dispute between him and the Bengals plays out in the open. Chase didn’t participate in most preseason activities. He played last Sunday with six receptions for 62 yards. Chase ultimately led the game in receiving yards.

Then factor in wide receiver Tee Higgins’ hamstring injury. Which he sustained back on September 5th. Resulting in Higgins being unavailable for last week’s game. All of that put the Bengals in a tough spot last week receiver-wise. It’s doubtful that Higgins will play on Sunday as of Friday afternoon.

The Bengals have other injury issues to deal with. Rookie defensive tackle Kris Jenkins is dealing with a thumb injury. Offensive tackle Amarius Mims is dealing with a pectoral injury. Plus, tight end Tanner Hudson is recovering from a knee injury. Linebacker Logan Wilson is also recovering from a knee injury. Wilson didn’t practice on Wednesday and was a limited participant on Thursday. Kansas City is set to go into Sunday’s game with a healthy roster.

Viewers will also follow Sunday’s quarterback showdown. Which broadcaster CBS has been promoting throughout the week. As Cincinnati’s Joe Burrow takes on Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes. Burrow faced a challenging season debut, in his first regular season game since last November. Burrow was sacked three times and didn’t throw a touchdown pass last week. While Mahomes had an effective opening game on September 5th. As Kansas City beat the Baltimore Ravens 27-20.

Then of course there’s one of America’s most famous couples. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. The start of the season brought the Swift suite camera back into our lives. Even Swift’s endorsement of presidential candidate Kamala Harris is a part of the pregame chatter. At least for the political and pop culture pundits out there.

Amid all of this, there will be a football game. One that will be a big test for the Bengals. As they try to avoid an 0-2 start for the fifth time in the last six seasons.
