Cincinnati Reds Caravan
The Reds Caravan will be traveling throughout Reds country this week. The annual event features current and former Reds players. Along with minor league prospects, team broadcasters, front office staff and mascots. Making stops in several states to meet fans from January 22 through this Saturday. More information on the 2024 Reds Caravan is available via this link. Meanwhile, Reds pitchers and catchers will report to Goodyear, AZ for Spring Training on February 14th. The first full team workout in Goodyear will be on February 19th.
FC Cincinnati
FC Cincinnati will have their first friendly of 2024 this Friday. Taking on Austin FC at Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg, FL. The time for Friday’s game has not been announced. FCC will begin CONCACAF Champions Cup play at Jamaica’s Cavalier FC on February 22nd. FC Cincinnati begins MLS regular season play by hosting Toronto FC on February 25th.
Australian Open
Tennis’ first grand slam of the year concludes this weekend in Melbourne, Australia. Cincinnati area natives Peyton Stearns and J.J. Wolf concluded their Australian Open runs last week. Last year’s Western and Southern/Cincinnati Open women’s singles champion Coco Gauff will play in the singles quarterfinal. Gauff will face Ukraine’s Marta Kostyuk Monday at 9 PM. 2024 W&S Open men’s singles champion Novak Djokovic has also advanced to the quarterfinals.
