FC Cincinnati heads to Harrison, NJ for game two of their first round series. FCC is eager for to sweep the best-of-three series. After taking a 1-0 series lead against New York last night. Winning 3-0 in FCC’s first home MLS Cup Playoff game in club history. Luciano Acosta scored a goal and Alvaro Barreal scored two.

Cincinnati Bengals vs Buffalo Bills

Sunday at 8:15 PM on NBC, Peacock, WCKY-AM (1530), WLW-AM (700) and WEBN-FM (102.7).

The Bengals have a winning record for the first time this season. Improving to 4-3 after their road win against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday. Sweeping their NFC West opponents in the process. Now Cincinnati shifts their focus to hosting the Buffalo Bills for Sunday Night Football. This will be the Bengals and Bills first meeting in Cincinnati since January 2nd.

That was the game where Bills Safety Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest during the first quarter. Prompting an outpouring of support for Hamlin and the medical staff that saved his life. Along with an increased awareness of the importance of Automated External Defibrillators (AED). Hamlin survived, returned to the Bills and played in a game earlier this month. It’s unclear if Hamlin will play in Sunday’s game. Buffalo goes into Sunday with a 5-3 record, ranking second in the AFC East. They most recently beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Thursday.

College Soccer

Several local teams are competing in their respective conference tournaments this week. Xavier’s men’s and women’s teams are playing in the Big East Tournament. The No.1 seed Xavier’s women’s team will face No.4 Providence Thursday at 4 PM in Boyds, MD. The winner will face either Georgetown or UCONN for the conference title. Sunday at 1:30 PM in Boyds, MD on FS1. Xavier’s men’s team will host their first-round game. Against No.7 seed Akron Saturday at 7 PM on FloSports.

Cincinnati Women’s Soccer is competing in the Big 12 quarterfinals. Taking on Texas Tech Monday at 3 PM in Austin, TX. The match was moved from nearby Round Rock, TX due to inclement weather. Cincinnati is the No.9 seed in this tournament; Texas Tech is the No.1 seed. Cincinnati advanced through a first-round win against No.8 Baylor last Saturday. The winner will play either Texas or West Viginia Wednesday at 5:30 PM. All tournament matches can be seen on ESPN+.

Northern Kentucky Women’s Soccer will face IUPUI in the Horizon League semifinals. Thursday at 5 PM in Milwaukee, WI on ESPN+. No.3 NKU advanced through a 1-0 home quarterfinal win against No.6 Detroit Mercy last Sunday. The winner of Thursday’s game will face either No.1 seed Milwaukee or No.4 Robert Morris. In the championship game Saturday at 2 PM in Milwaukee on ESPN+.

NKU Men’s Soccer will conclude the regular season this Wednesday. Taking on Wright State on the road at 2 PM on ESPN+. Northern Kentucky is striving for a spot in the Horizon League Tournament. The top six teams advance to the tournament. NKU heads into this week in seventh place. One point behind sixth place Cleveland State in the conference standings. The Horizon League tournament will begin this Sunday.

No.2 seed Mount St. Joseph Women’s Soccer is competing in the HCAC semifinals. Hosting No.3 Transylvania University Tuesday at 7 PM on MSJ Athletics’ YouTube channel. The winner will play in the HCAC Championship game this Saturday. Meanwhile, Thomas More Soccer is still in the midst of their regular season. TMU’s women’s team will face Cedarville Tuesday at 4:30 PM in Cedarville, OH. TMU’s men’s team will host Ohio Dominican Tuesday at 7 PM. Both games can be seen on Great Midwest Digital Network.
