LPGA Queen City Championship

Cincinnati will host the LPGA’s Queen City Championship this weekend. The tournament runs Thursday through Sunday at Kenwood Country Club’s Kendale Course. TV coverage will air each day on Golf Channel. Coverage on Thursday and Friday will air from 4 PM until 7 PM. Saturday and Sunday’s coverage will air from 2 PM until 5 PM.

FC Cincinnati and FC Cincinnati 2

After two matches last week, FC Cincinnati will have no matches this week. Their next match will be on September 16th. Going on the road to face the Philadelphia Union at 7:30 PM. The club’s MLS NEXT Pro team FC Cincinnati 2 will play this Sunday. They will travel to DRV PNK Stadium to play Inter Miami II. Sunday’s kickoff is set for 6 PM on MLSNEXTPro.com.

U.S. Open Tennis

The U.S. Open will conclude this week in New York. Coverage will be featured on the ESPN family of networks and Tennis Channel. Online radio coverage is also available via USOpen.org. Cincinnati area native Peyton Stearns concluded her U.S. Open on Labor Day. Losing in the round of 16 to Marketa Vondrousova in a full three sets. Vondrousova will face American Madison Keys in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. American Coco Gauff will face Latvia’s Jelena Ostapenko in the quarterfinals Tuesday at Noon.

In the men’s singles tournament, three Americans will play in the quarterfinals. Taylor Fritz will face Serbia’s Novak Djokovic Tuesday at 1:15 PM. While Frances Tiafoe will play Ben Shelton Tuesday at 8:15 PM. Guaranteeing an American will be in the semifinals. Tiafoe advanced to the semifinals last year.
