MLB Trade Deadline
Major League Baseball’s trade deadline is Tuesday at 6 PM. The Cincinnati Reds have been mostly quiet trade-wise as the deadline looms. Adding left-handed relief pitcher Sam Moll from the Oakland Athletics on Monday. In exchange for right-handed Reds minor league pitcher Joe Boyle. After utilizing trades to bulk up their farm system in recent years. The Reds head into this week leading the National League Central. With a roster full of rookies helping lead Cincinnati into that position.
FC Cincinnati (Leagues Cup)
FC Cincinnati are advancing to the Leagues Cup round of 32. After winning their group through beating Sporting Kansas City and Chivas de Guadalajara. FC Cincinnati will host Nashville on Friday. Nashville was the runner up in the Central 4 group. Friday’s match is set to start at 8 PM on Apple TV-MLS Season Pass and WCKY-AM (1530).
2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup

The United States Women’s National Team concluded group stage play Tuesday in New Zealand. With a scoreless draw against Portugal. The USWNT are advancing to the knockout stage as the second place team in Group E. Advancing with five points through two ties and a win. The Netherlands won Group E with wins against Portugal, Vietnam and a 1-1 tie against the U.S.
Now the USWNT turn their attention to the round of 16. They will play Sunday at 5 AM on FOX, Telemundo, NBC Universo and Peacock. The U.S. will face the winner of group G. Which will be either Sweden or Italy. Sweden have the least complicated path to winning the group. All they need to do is win or tie with Argentina. Sweden and Argentina play Wednesday at 3 AM on FOX, Telemundo and Peacock.
Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Week
Bengals legend Ken Riley will posthumously join pro football’s most prestigious club this week. Through his induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, OH. He will be one of the nine inductees in this year’s class. Ronde Barber, Darrelle Revis, Joe Thomas, Zach Thomas, DeMarcus Ware, Chuck Howley and Joe Klecko are the other player inductees. While Don Coryell is being inducted as a coach.
The hall of fame enshrinement ceremony will be held Saturday in Canton at Noon. Ken’s wife Barbara Riley will be the presenter for Ken’s enshrinement. Barbara and Ken were married for over 50 years. The ceremony can be seen on NFL Network and ESPN. The Pro Football Hall of Fame Game will be Thursday. Between the Cleveland Browns and New York Jets. Kickoff for the preseason opener will be at 8 PM on NBC and Peacock.
Cincinnati Bengals Training Camp
The Bengals will have five open training camp practices this week. Those practices will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. All at the Kettering Health Practice Fields next to Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati. Gates open for these practices at 1:30 PM and the practices will start at 2:15 PM. After quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a calf injury during practice last Thursday. Attention for many will be on Burrow’s fellow Bengals QB’s. Jake Browning, Trevor Siemian and the recently signed Reid Sinnett.
The Basketball Tournament
Cincinnati Basketball’s alumni Nasty Nati team has advanced to TBT’s quarterfinals. They will play the Friday Beers team tonight in Dayton, OH. Tonight’s game is set to tip-off at 7 PM on ESPN. The winner will play either Bleed Green and Gutter Cats in the semifinals. Bleed Green and Gutter Cats play tonight in Louisville, KY at 9 PM on ESPN2.
The semifinals and championship game will take place in Philadelphia, PA. Team Heartfire and Herd That have already qualified for the semifinals. They will play Wednesday at 7 PM on ESPN. Tonight’s quarterfinal winners will play Wednesday at 9 PM on ESPN3. The championship game will be played on Thursday at 7 PM on ESPN3.
