College Sports

With graduation season and the end of the college school year upon us. Several sports are heading into their conference or national championships. Xavier’s women’s golf team is competing in the NCAA Westfield regional tournament. Taking place Monday through Wednesday in Westfield, IN. Thomas More’s women’s golf team is competing in the Mid-South Conference Championship. Monday and Tuesday at the Bowling Green Country Club in Bowling Green, KY. Thomas More’s track and field team is also competing today.

TMU Track and Field is competing in the Mid-South Conference championships in Williamsburg, KY. Cincinnati will compete in the AAC Track and Field Championships. Running Friday-Sunday at the USF Track Complex in Tampa, FL. Xavier Track and Field team will also contend in their conference championship. The Big East Track and Field Championships run Friday and Saturday in Villanova, PA.

Baseball and softball comprise the rest of the local college competitions this week. Cincinnati will host Xavier this Tuesday at 6 PM. Xavier will host Indiana Wednesday at 3 PM. Xavier will face St. John’s in New York this weekend. With games Friday at 6 PM, Saturday at 3 PM and Sunday at 1 PM. Cincinnati Baseball will host a weekend series against UCF. With games Friday at 5 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 12 PM.

Northern Kentucky Baseball will host Butler this Tuesday at 3 PM. Then host Youngstown State for a weekend series. With games Friday at 2 PM, Saturday at 1 PM and Sunday at 12 PM. NKU will also face Youngstown State in the Horizon League Softball Championship. Wednesday at 3:30 PM in Green Bay, WI. The winner will face Robert Morris Thursday at 3:30 PM. The loser will play either IUPUI or Green Bay Wednesday at 6 PM.

Mount St. Joseph Softball will compete in the Heartland Conference Championship this week. The MSJ Lions closed the regular season second in the conference. Heading into this week with a 14-2 conference and 29-11 overall record. MSJ will face either Franklin or Defiance Thursday at 5:30 PM. The Heartland Conference Softball Championship will continue through Sunday.
