Flying Pig Marathon Weekend
Cincinnati will host festivities for the 25th Flying Pig Marathon this weekend. Flying Pig weekend festivities begin Friday with the Fitness Expo. Which starts at Noon at the Duke Energy Convention Center. The 50 West Mile will also take place Friday at 7 PM in Cincinnati’s Riverfront Transit Tunnel. Saturday’s events begin with the 10 K at 7 AM on Mehring Way in Cincinnati. Saturday’s events include the 5K race, 1K Flying Piglet, The 26th Mile, PigAbilities and Flying Fur races. All taking place Saturday in Downtown Cincinnati.
Sunday’s festivities begin on Elm Street in Downtown Cincinnati. With the start of the wheelchair race at 6:25 AM. The Flying Pig Marathon, half marathon and four-person relay start at 6:30 AM. College Sports
Xavier’s Women’s Tennis team will compete in the NCAA Championships this weekend. The team will find out when and who they’ll face tonight at 6 PM. Individual selections will be announced on Tuesday. Cincinnati’s Women’s Lacrosse team will face James Madison in the AAC Tournament. Thursday at 4:30 PM in Philadelphia, PA on ESPN+. Also in Cincinnati athletics news, UC’s Track and Field team will compete in the Billy Hayes Invitational. Wrapping up their regular season Friday in Bloomington, IN.
Northern Kentucky Baseball’s record-setting season continues. NKU heads into this week with 26 wins. The most in their program’s NCAA Division I era. Northern Kentucky will host Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday at 4 PM. Then face Wright State this weekend in Dayton, OH. With games Friday at 3 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 1 PM.
In other college baseball news, Cincinnati will host a series against No.14 East Carolina this weekend. With games Friday at 5 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and Sunday at 1 PM. This Sunday, Mount St. Joseph will host Anderson University for a doubleheader. With games at Noon and 3 PM at Xavier University. Meanwhile, Thomas More’s Baseball and Softball teams will play in their Mid-South Conference Tournaments.
TMU Softball will face No.9 seed Shawnee State Wednesday at 7:30 PM. TMU Baseball will face No.3 seed Freed-Hardeman Thursday at 8 PM. Both games will be played in Bowling Green, KY. Thomas More’s Track and Field teams will compete in the Mid-South Conference Championships. Taking place this Sunday in Williamsburg, KY.
