The Cyclones will wrap up their regular season in Kansas City this week. Last Sunday, the Cyclones clinched the ECHL’s Central Division title. Through their 5-3 road win against the Indianapolis Fuel. Which marked the Cyclones 47th win of the season. Cincinnati will face the Fort Wayne Komets in the Kelly Cup Playoffs’ opening round next week.
College Sports
This year’s Joe Nuxhall Classic concludes this week. With Xavier Baseball facing Wright State Tuesday at 2 PM. Cincinnati Baseball will host Miami (OH) Tuesday at 6 PM on ESPN+. Both games will take place at the University of Cincinnati’s Baseball Stadium. UC’s Baseball Stadium will also host a Friday-Sunday series between Mount St. Joseph and Franklin College. Elsewhere in college baseball, Horizon League-leading Northern Kentucky will host Dayton on Tuesday at 3 PM. Northern Kentucky will host Miami (OH) Wednesday at 3 PM.
Cincinnati Football will host their Spring Game this Saturday. As Scott Satterfield continues to prepare for his first season as UC’s head coach. Kickoff at Nippert Stadium is set for Noon. Across campus this Saturday at 1 PM, Cincinnati Women’s Soccer will host Butler. Cincinnati Track and Field will compete in the Tom Jones Invitational in Gainesville, FL this Friday and Saturday. Last Weekend in Knoxville, TN, senior thrower Fred Moudani set UC’s shot put record. Moudani won the men’s shot put event with his school record-setting 19.31 meter throw.
Meanwhile, Northern Kentucky Men’s Golf is hosting the NKU Jewell Invitational. Monday and Tuesday at Elks Run Golf Course in Batavia, OH. Thomas More’s Men’s Golf is also competing in this event. Northern Kentucky Women’s Golf will compete this weekend. In IUPUI’s Lady Jaguar Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. That event will take place at Carmel, IN’s Plum Creek Golf Club.
