Northern Kentucky Baseball is emerging from an historic weekend. Amid their best start to a season since 1990. The Norse completed a sweep over Western Michigan through a 27-4 rout on Sunday. NKU junior Liam McFadden-Ackman hit for the cycle with two first inning grand slams. Along with a triple, double and single. That resulted in McFadden-Ackman being interviewed on ESPN’s SportsCenter. Northern Kentucky Baseball will host Xavier this Tuesday at 2 p.m.

Elsewhere in NKU Norse news, NKU Softball will compete in the Cardinal Classic in Louisville, KY. Playing Toledo and Louisville Friday at 4 and 6 p.m. respectively. The Norse will play Toledo again Saturday at Noon and Northwestern Saturday at 4 p.m. Northern Kentucky will wrap up the Cardinal Classic Sunday at 2 p.m. at Louisville. On Friday, Northern Kentucky’s tennis teams will host Southern Indiana. Starting at 6 p.m. at the Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, KY. Southern Indiana’s tennis teams will also play Xavier, this Saturday at the Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club in Cincinnati.

In Cincinnati Bearcats news, Cincinnati’s women’s lacrosse team will be on the road this week. Taking on Ohio State this Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Columbus. Cincinnati will face Louisville this Friday at 4 p.m. in Louisville. Cincinnati Baseball will be at home this week. Hosting Miami (Ohio) Wednesday at 5 p.m. on ESPN+. Then hosting North Alabama Friday at 5 p.m., Saturday at Noon and 3:30 p.m. Then Sunday at Noon, every game in that series can be seen on ESPN+.

Mount St. Joseph will host a baseball invitational event this weekend. MSJ’s baseball team will host Ohio Wesleyan Saturday at Noon and 3 p.m. Saturday’s games will take place at Xavier University. On Sunday, Mount St. Joseph will host Ohio Wesleyan at 11 p.m. and Wilmington at 5 p.m. Sunday’s games will take place at Thomas More Stadium in Florence, KY. Meanwhile, Thomas More will compete in two NAIA National Championships this weekend. Thomas More will send five wrestlers to Friday and Saturday’s NAIA National Championships in Wichita, KS. Shay Horton, Ryan Moore, Wilder Wichman, Kailan Keith and Daulton Mayer. Thomas More will also compete in the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships. This Saturday at 3 p.m. in Brookings, SD.
