Xavier Men’s Tennis will host Bellarmine this Friday at 6 PM. At the Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club in Cincinnati. Xavier’s Women’s Tennis team will spend this weekend in Indiana. They will face Indiana in Bloomington Saturday at 11 AM. Then face Purdue in West Lafayette Sunday at Noon.
Cincinnati’s Women’s Tennis team will travel to Louisville this Friday. Taking on Louisville at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center at Noon. Cincinnati’s Women’s Tennis team will host Marshall this Sunday at 2 PM. Northern Kentucky’s Men’s Tennis team will host Eastern Illinois Friday at 3 PM and UIC Saturday at 4 PM. Both matches will take place at the Five Seasons Sports Club in Crestview Hills, KY.
Mount St. Joseph will host Xavier, Thomas More and others in a track and field invitational this Saturday. That event is set to start at 11 AM at Centennial Field House and Austin E. Knowlton Fitness Center. Meanwhile, Cincinnati’s Women’s Lacrosse team will host Kent State this Friday at 3 PM on ESPN+. Cincinnati will face Gardner-Webb in Boiling Springs, NC this Sunday at Noon on ESPN+. Meanwhile, Thomas More’s baseball team will host a four-game series against Trinity Christian College (IL) this week. The games will be Friday and Saturday at Noon and 3 PM. All of those games will be at Thomas More Stadium in Florence, KY.

NFL Honors

Several Cincinnati Bengals players are nominated for various NFL Honors awards. Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is a finalist for the AP NFL Most Valuable Player Award. While defensive end Sam Hubbard is the Bengals nominee for the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award. Which recognizes a player’s service to the community. This is the second-consecutive year Hubbard has been nominated for this award.
Hubbard’s Foundation strives to bring equitable access to food and education to the Cincinnati area. Former Bengals and Rams offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth won the award last year. Bengals tight end Hayden Hurst is a finalist for the NFL’s Salute to Service Award. Awarded to a player, coach, staff or alumni for their commitment to supporting military and veteran communities. University of Cincinnati alumnus Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner is a nominee for Defensive Rookie of the Year. The cornerback helped lift the New York Jets to one of their best seasons in over a decade.
