In this preview, the Cincinnati Bengals will make a second-consecutive AFC Championship Game appearance this weekend. While No.13 Xavier and Cincinnati’s Men’s Basketball teams face top 25 teams.
AFC Championship Game: Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs
Sunday at 6:30 PM (all times Eastern) on CBS, WLW-AM (700), WCKY-AM (1530) and WEBN-FM (102.7).
After beating the Buffalo Bills last Sunday 27-10 in snowy Buffalo. The Bengals are one win away from a second-consecutive Super Bowl appearance. Taking on the Chiefs in Kansas City this Sunday. In a rematch of last year’s AFC Championship Game. Cincinnati will be striving to continue their AFC Championship and Chiefs winning streak. The Bengals have beaten Kansas City three times in the last 13 months. Their most recent meeting was in Cincinnati last month.
One major storyline heading into this weekend will be Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes health. Mahomes suffered an ankle injury in last Saturday’s divisional game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He completed the game after missing part of the second quarter. Mahomes’ injury provides another challenge for the Chiefs offense. Which is now set to face one of the league’s most formidable defenses. Cincinnati’s defense stalled the typically dynamic Bills offense yesterday. Buffalo had one touchdown in the game and didn’t get a first down in the first quarter.
