In this pre-Christmas edition of the Weekly Preview. The Cincinnati Bengals could clinch a playoff berth this weekend. While Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky’s Women’s Basketball teams face each other this Wednesday.
Cincinnati Bengals
Cincinnati Bengals at New England Patriots, Saturday at 1 PM (all times Eastern) on CBS, WLW-AM (700), WCKY-AM (1530) and WEBN-FM (102.7).
After trailing closely behind the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North standings for several weeks. The Cincinnati Bengals hold a one game lead in the division. Through Cincinnati’s 34-23 road win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last Sunday. Taking advantage of the Baltimore’s loss last Saturday to the Cleveland Browns. The Bengals will head into their Christmas Eve game in New England 10-4 overall.
The Bengals are a step closer to clinching a playoff berth. They could clinch with a win or tie this Saturday; or through the New York Jets losing or tying the Jacksonville Jaguars this Thursday. Cincinnati would be the AFC’s third seed if the playoffs began today. New England would miss the playoffs if it started today. Sitting eighth in the AFC standings going into Saturday’s game. If not for a bungled last second play in their game last Sunday at the Las Vegas Raiders. New England would be in the top seven.
