College Sports Spotlight

Cincinnati’s women’s soccer team clinched a berth in the 2022 American Athletic Conference Championship last Sunday. Winning their regular season home finale against South Florida 1-0. Wrapping up the regular season with an undefeated home record of 7-0-2. Cincinnati will wrap up their regular season at East Carolina Thursday at 7 PM. On Friday, Cincinnati’s cross country teams will compete in the AAC Championship in Tulsa, OK.

Xavier’s women’s soccer team will also wrap up their regular season this week. Facing Marquette on the road Thursday at 8 PM on FloSports. The Xavier Musketeers recently clinched the No.2 seed in the Big East Championship. Meanwhile, Xavier’s women’s golf team concludes their fall season this week. Competing in the Charlotte Invitational at the Cabarrus Country Club in Concord, NC. The invitational runs from Monday through Tuesday.

College Basketball season will be here in the blink of an eye. Xavier hosted their Musketeer Madness event last week. Tonight, Northern Kentucky’s men’s basketball team will have their first of two exhibition games. Hosting Tiffin University (Ohio) tonight at 7 PM at Truist Arena in Highland Heights, KY. Elsewhere, NKU’s cross country teams will compete in the Horizon League Championships, Saturday in Rochester, MI.

Mount St. Joseph will celebrate homecoming weekend with their Athletics Hall of Fame Ceremony. Friday’s ceremony is set to start at 5:45 PM. With a reception at the Fifth Third Dining Hall on MSJ’s campus. This year’s inductees are the 1992 women’s basketball team, Dr. Veronica Huck Guilfoy, Jeanne Kirch Hilvert, Michael Cronin and Dr. Robert Burger. The event costs $30 to attend, more information is available through MSJ’s website. Elsewhere, MSJ will compete in the Heartland Conference’s Cross Country Championships. Coming up this Saturday in Bluffton, OH.

Thomas More’s women’s golf team is taking part in the Mid-South Conference’s Fall Preview. The event is taking place Monday and Tuesday in Bowling Green, KY. TMU’s women’s volleyball team will have games this week. Facing Georgetown (KY) on the road Thursday at 6 PM. Then hosting Cumberlands (KY) Friday at 6 PM at the Connor Convocation Center in Crestview Hills, KY.
